Hi all,
sorry we've been away from dm for a while, been busy with music & more music

everything is fine and just wish there were more hours in a day - don't we all

Been trying to finish some songs for the next album so that by the time we begin rehearsing with the band we'd have a clear run to concentrate on that but you know how it is, music just has a way of not stopping itself and we don't like to stop inspiration if it comes or not finish songs already in orbit

!! So it's been a bit of burning the

at both ends for a while now and a few early nights are needed

Anyway we just wanted to thank you all for your awesome support and we love to hear from you and catch up when we can. Had some fantastic news today, some friends of ours got into the mainstream charts YAY!! A band called Koopa -
http://www.koopatheband.com
And you can see their video on
http://www.myspace.com/koopa
they went in at no 58 - WOO HOO!! with their single 'No Trend' and we're so happy for them, they've worked tremendously hard gigging constantly up and down UK to crack it and it looks like they have
More news is that we've been helping to spread the word about an interview Zest conducted with Greg Allen over at s/click - here's the link -
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=413093 and it inspired us to write 'Peace Wins The Election' in the song den now, it's an 11 piece interview but well worth dipping into if you get time, on the topic of global warming, Greg Allen is a world expert in sustainable energy and background music comes from Steven West with the voice of Jodi Krangle, it's excellent and very thought provoking, even more amazing to learn that the interview was completely unrehearsed!!

Zest is supplying free CD copies to anyone that would like one, as an educational piece for schools and colleges or environmental groups or anyone just interested in learning more about this important subject,

it's a great offer in our humbly!
One more nice little snippet of news is that Caroline 'Thought-Fox' and I have both had some poetry aired in the new Homegrown Podcast

!!
Here's the link -
http://homegrown.libsyn.com/ and Nic Treadwell the presenter is on the look out for new original music and poetry and prose to include in later shows, click on and take a look/listen if you can, it's a great new venture for unknown artists to share their work and voices
Well that's all we can think of for now and we both send loads of these

best wishes,
from M&P xxx

And wrap up it's freezing out there

And sometimes I would catch her off guard
A first snowfall, a loose button
Something needling at her memory
Never forgiven she said, only forgotten
I was in awe of this, an old repartee
Heard many times
Over and over, like a washing spree
Wet and dry, dried and soiled
And still the broken stones that hid her eyes
Were built
And built again, again, like walls...
A poem that came to me this morning

FLY A KITE
